FARMSTAND:

Yes

When you shop at Stony Hill Farm Market, you’ll only find Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables. We’ve changed our production schedule and will be planting more vegetables earlier. So you’ll find more vegetables grown by us for you. If we don’t grow it ourselves, a local Jersey farmer does. We don’t stock bananas or other exotic fruit, but we don’t think you’ll mind supporting local New Jersey farmers and buying just-picked fruits and vegetables that only traveled a few yards (or a few miles) rather than a few thousand miles. Be sure to also visit us at tailgate markets! In addition to produce, you’ll find the market stocked with a variety of plants, including 4-inch annuals, perennials, vegetable plants and herb plants, plus hanging baskets. We grow all of the plants in the greenhouses at our other location, Stony Hill Gardens. As you enter the market, you may notice an enticing aroma wafting into the market from our bakery. Carol may have just pulled a freshly baked pie or batch of cookies from the oven.

Our Farm Share Program (also known as a CSA or Community Supported Agriculture program) is a relationship of a mutual commitment between farmers and members. In return for an annual fee, which helps cover production costs of the farm, Stony Hill Farms Farm Share members receive a weekly share of the highest quality produce during the growing season (from approximately June through November). Meat, cheese, and homemade ice cream shares are also available for select locations!

Stony Hill Farm Market was certified River-Friendly on February 2, 2007. Operated by Dale and Carol Davis in Morris County, twenty-one acres of this 53-acre preserved farmland is devoted to a fruit and vegetable market/retail shop, corn maize and pick-your-own pumpkin patch. Stony Hill Farm Market implements many conservation practices including cover crops, integrated pest management, and filter strips.

Stony Hill Gardens opened in 1988 with a focus that began in cut flower orchids. Since then, we have expanded to become a family destination. In 2001, we opened our Farm Market. Not only do we sell orchids and other plants at our Gardens location, but our Market and Maze Fun Park boasts a 10-acre corn maze, other fun attractions, our own Jersey-fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, hayrides, a wide variety of seasonal plants, Christmas trees, and much more.

In the spring and summer, you'll find flowering bulbs, pansies, geraniums, a wide selection of other annuals and perennials. During the fall, you can get lost in our 10-acre corn maze, enjoy a hayride and pick-your-own pumpkins, plus our stunning mums. For Christmas you will find our pre-cut Christmas trees, wreaths and roping. And don't forget your Boxwood Tree!
